I, Yahuweh thy God am a Jealous God.

Exodus 20:5-6 Thou shalt not bow down (7812 worship/reverence) thyself to them, nor serve them: for I Yahuweh thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and forth generation of them that hate Me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me, and keep My commandments.
God will not have any thing before Him, is there anything you put before God???
Numbers 14:8-9 If Yahuweh delight in us, then He will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which flows with milk and honey. 9 Only rebel not ye against Yahuweh, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: fear them not.
The people put there fear before God and trusted Him not. Is that reverence for God?
Do you have fear? Is it from God or you? Do you trust God's promises? Do you have faith?
Psalm 79:8-9 O remember not against us former iniquities: let Thy tender mercies speedily prevent us: for we are brought very low. 9 Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for Thy name sake.
Isaiah 57:17 For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote (5221 stricken, slay, kill) him: I hid me, and was wroth and he went on frowardly (7726 backsliding) in the way of his heart.
Covetousness is the last and least of the ten commandment sins, but in doing it you are not worshipping God.
God is wrong! I can't believe that! I have to fix it myself! I am not trusting God! He didn't mean that! He's led us here to die! I can't wait!
Faith, trust, patients we must have these to reverence God believing He is a rewarded of those who diligently seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for He that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
When we let fear rule our lives, we are not reverencing God. We let our wants and impatience rule over us not God and His love for us. Our trust is often to our selves and what we can do and not what God will do for us and through us. We must learn to reverence/worship God by faith, trust, and patience. God under the new covenant teaches you faith, trust, and patience. How; By affliction, oppression, and calamity. The bible calls it chastisement.
Nations as well as individuals are chastised by God. Israel and this country are under righteous judgment right now and so are you.
Hebrews 10: 28-30 He that despised Moses law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite (1792 insult) unto the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto Me, I will recompense, saith Yahuweh. And again, Yahuweh shall judge His people.
Father let us see our transgression, so that we might repent as we judge ourselves when we take the communion of saints. Mercy and grace on our lack of faith, trust, and impatience. Let the fruit of chastisement grow in us to perfection, so that we may serve you and Your Son be seen in us.
